WWYD - Chicken pox in Nursery and preg sister

Hi just need some general advise, my dd goes to Nursery one day a week and my sisters two days a week. The nursery manager has just txt me to say that there are several children off with chicken pox this week. DD seems ok, not showing any signs of it, but I am not sure if I should send her to nursery tomorrow or not. I am not worried about her getting it as I know it is better for her to get it young than when she is older (she is 17mo) but my sister is pregnant and I obviously do not want to risk her getting it. Should we send her to Nursery tomorrow? My sister has already had chicken pox btw.

If your sister has had chicken pox, then there is no danger to her or unborn baby as she will be immune. The incubation period is a few weeks, so it is too late to keep your daughter away from it- she may or may not have already caught it. If I were you I would send her to nursery as normal.

I'll second the above, I came into contact with chickenpox when expecting DD and when I checked with the Doctor she said there is no risk to the baby if the mother has had the virus.
I'd send her as normal too.

Thanks that puts my mind at rest.
