What are the early symptoms of slap cheek?

Dd2's best friend has had slap cheek, he only had it mild and by the time the gp diagnosed it he had already been at school and was no longer contagious.

Dd2 now has cold symptoms (slight cough, runny nose and slightly rosy cheeks), she's at home today as she has an eye infection but will be going back to school tomorrow (unless she develops slap cheek).

What are the early symptoms? and what is the incubation period?

Thank you, i'm thinking its probably just a cold, i sent dd1 to school with a head ache and slight temp this morning (i thought she was just after a day off school and her temp wasn't very high). Fingers crossed its not slap cheek Grin.
