10mo with tonsillitis, best food to give?

My 10mo DD was diagnosed with tonsillitis today. She wont eat anything at all, has anyone any idea on the best foods to give her as I'm quite concerned about her not getting nutrition as she even struggles with a bottle. Just been giving her water and some yogurt.

Weetabix or anything similar that's runny and warm. Even petit filous would be ok

My sympathies for you. My 3yr old is currently very poorly with it too and I'm hoping tomorrow, day 5 he'll be better. He is crying everytime he nibbles or drinks, but thankfully is still eating a little at least rather than not at all.

We are having to 'hide' the penicillin in juice and making it a fun game as it is awful tasting.

Ice cream is very soothing, from my own memory.

Hope your baby feels better soon.

Thank you everyone. She unfortunately had to be admitted to hospital on the early hours of Wednesday morning due to her temperature rising to 40 and being violently sick, but is home now and seems to be getting her appetite back. Got her lots of jelly and yogurts and even some 4+ baby jars to help her keep her strength up. She's on a ten day course of penicillin which she actually doesn't seem so fussed about and a throat spray to help numb the pain.
