Hi, first time on mumsnet but looking for wisdom from experienced mums! Been battling with eczema from weaning and paediatrician confused me with advice, in the end we cut out citrus and it worked! He thought milk was the issue so we cut that out to start but it never got rid of it. I have been giving my DD food with milk in for some time now and all was still good but she has just turned 1 and I have been concerned about milk intake for this age so have introduced more milk products as she is sick when she drinks it! Now she has bad eczema again but only on her bottom. Her poo also seems to be getting softer and I would describe the smell as 'fermented' quite acidic. Does anyone have any thoughts, I would cut milk out again but worried about calcium levels for her age now?

Hoping you can help! x

My DS had eczema as a baby but it went away, recently returned after he guzzled orange juice during a cold. I haven't found milk to affect it at all, he can drink tons of it and still be OK.

Have you thought about a milk alternative like Rice Dream? Full of vits and minerals and a lot more digestible than cows milk.

Good luck.
