2.8 year old developed what looks like cradle cap?

Any ideas anyone?

Noticed ds2 has developed a big patch of what looks like cradle cap on his head. I tried easing a loose bit out after I'd washed his hair at bath time and it took a chunk of hair out with it!

When he had a small bit of cradle cap as a baby I rubbed oil onto it and eventually it went. Worth a shot?

I'm not sure if it even is cc. It's just a guess as I can't see Dr till next weds.
Thanks.

I don't know, but my 3 1/2 yo DS2 has bits of cradle cap now, though his baby cradle cap disappeared yonks ago.

I'm afraid I've just ignored it

Thanks.

I am also a slack mother and only really noticed it now I've just had his hair cut...

DS1 had a bit of cradle cap last year - he was 8! He's got such thick hair I didn't even notice - the baraber pointed it out. We used baby oil on it at bedtime, and that got rid of it pretty quickly.
