3 year old with all over rash and bright pink cheeks

My 3 year old DD has recently developed a rash all over her body ie her back, tummy, arms and legs including hands and feet. She doesn't seem to have it on her face but does have bright pink cheeks. Her tongue is a normal colour and the rash is spotty rather than blotchy so I don't think it's scarlet fever.

It doesn't really look like the usual viral rashes we have experienced (have 3 DC so have had quite a few of those over the years).

She seems well in herself.

Just wonder if anyone has any experience of this and might be able to help?

Many thanks.

Slapped face?
When dd1 had it she got it first on her limbs. It looked like sunburn in circles about 1cm diameter, eventually the circles joined up and it was all-over-ish.

Her cheeks were red, but not much of the rest of her face.

DeWe - think you're right. All the symptoms match up for slapped cheek. Thanks for suggestion. The good news is that once the rash appears they are no longer contagious so she can go to pre-school tomorrow. Much as I love my little darlings I must admit I'm looking forward to term starting!

Ds had slapped cheek - the rash came first then the fever, general illness and a mouthful of illness so keep an eye on her.
