DS still having a LOT of dirty nappies..

I posted a couple of days ago about2 yo DS having nappy rash, and having 4/5 dirty nappies a day. His nappy rash has cleared, although he's still saying he has a "sore bottom" and he's still having loads of dirty nappies. Sorry if this is TMI, but they're bright yellow, and are sometimes like the consistency of lentils, and other times like blobs of slime, it's really odd! He's done 4 poos in 2 hours this morning, and does keep saying he has a stomach ache.
He's supposed to be going to nursery today for his first full day (he usually just goes for the afternoon), but i'm not sure it's wise to send him in case he's contagious with something.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? He's eating fine, and is fine within himself, and has been all week. It just seems to have been going on a bit too long now!

DD had something similar when she was around 19 months. She had the slimey nappies, and sometimes something resembling curdled milk. She seemed fine in herself, but I took her to the doctor anyway.

He said it was a stomach upset and gave her Dioralyte.

I hope you get something sorted.
