Seems odd, the way you described the spots and the fact they came in waves (although not many spots) and the fact that they blistered seems clearly chickenpox. Why does your GP think that it is not chickenpox?

My DD suffers from staph infections which are a form of MRSA. Lots of people think she has chicken pix when she gets it. Symptoms are spots, nappy rash and mild temp. She can be very itchy in the bottom area as well. It needs treating with ABs and cream. My DD is nearly 4 and has had 4 bad infections needing 2 week doses of oral antibiotics.
