Hi all,

DS2 has been ill with a cough, chest and ear infection for a few weeks, he's just finished a course of ab's and yet his poor chest still feels "crunchy". It gets worse at night and feels rattley and crunchy when he breathes. His breathing is not great, sort of in, out, in, out stop stop stop, IN,OUT, repeat. He's not running a temperature and his ears seem better. He's fine in himself, upto all sorts of mischief, if a bit grumpy.

He has a cold and greeny snot. His cough feels dry as opposed to chesty.

Anyone have any idea what it could be?
Thanks.

I would suggest if your worried about his breathing to get him checked out again, he may need a longer course of antibiotics or some steroids or something.

What sirzy said, call ooh.

Does his chest suck in under his ribs?

hermionestranger · 06/04/2012 21:21

His chest doesn't suck under, I'm a veteran of chest infections, DS1 gets them every winter and his have always cleared up after ab's! That's why I'm so flummoxed! I'm going to let him sleep on (he's fast asleep now) but call ooh in the morning. Thank you both.

He's a LOT better today! Phew! Still going to keep a close eye on him though! We had a lovely day out with family today and he was playing and running around with no problems, only problem was convincing him to hit the hay tonight! [bugrin]
