my 8 wo DS has a chesty cough and when he crys or makes any sounds his throat sounds really dry and sore. On tuesday he developed a rash and a temp the rash is gone now and his temp is lower but now has this cough which has got worse and worse.
I'm giving him calpol as recommened by doc on tuesday and seems ok apart from crying when he's trying to get to sleep but he has thrush in his mouth and i think the crying is wanting his dummy but it irritating the thrush.
Basically what i want to know is should i go back to docs about cough or just keep going with the calpol? As it's friday tomoro if i don't go and it gets worse he has all weekend to go befor he can see a doc.
