He has had really bad cradle cap and I've used all sorts sort of potions and lotions in the past to remove it. The doc gave me some Norol shampoo which helped a bit. I have since used coconut oil and this really helped and lifted quite a bit (but not all). But this last week his scalp had been smelling of fish. We went rock pooling last week so thought it might be something his hair came into contact with at the beach. I will book a docs appointment this week (have to fit it around work) but what could it be???

all my babies had very mild cradle cap, using baby shampoos esp johnsons seemed to make it worse, so on the advice of my sister i used a tiny amount of head and shoulders shampoo every day and it cleared up a treat, my sister swears by it as her ds had such awful cradle cap his head looked like a pizza honestly was awful, and just a piece of usless or useful info hairdressers reccomend using johnsons baby shampoo for the first wash if you colour your hair and you want to tone the colour down, if it can strip colour what can it do to your poor babies head, never used the stuff after that :) hth and good luck x
