She is 8. She hasnt mentioned a sore throat, or anything at all until she just stabbed herself with a fork Hmm and she says it is painful....

What could this be?

Have had a good look in her mouth and she has a blister inside her cheek and about 5 blisters on the back of her tongue. No other symptoms. Did consider hand, foot and mouth but she hasnt had a fever at all and no signs of blisters anywhere else. Any ideas?

Bumping this as my 7yo has just come downstairs complaining of a sore tongue and a quick advanced search has brought this thread up. Did you find out what it was?

Sorry, meant to say she has a number of blisters/ulcers right at the back of her tongue. No other symptoms.
