Anyone's child seen an orthodonist?

If anyone's child has seen an orthodonist, did they see them at a surgery or in hospital?

All the children I know locally go to the the town's orthondic surgery which I know my dentist uses, so I was surprised to get a hospital referral for any possible treatment. There's no doubt she needs braces, but I'm wondering why she has to go the hospital, so if anyone has any thoughts on that one as well!!

There could be any number of reasons but hospital orthodontists usually see more complicated cases such as teeth that haven't come through.

Give your dental practice a call tomorrow and ask the receptionist. They should be able to look at the referral letter and tell you.

My daughter sees the orthodontist at the hospital, she is a more complicated case, as she needed surgery before her retainer, she now has a fixed brace at the bottom and due for a fixed brace at the top and a device that will " pull" her tooth down. Ouch.
I have been very pleased with the service that has been provided for her.
