Blotchy raised rash on chest and back...ds (8) is fine otherwise?

DH noticed it first yest when he bathed ds. Ds says it is a bit itchy, but haven't really noticed it bothering him more than that. We thought it might be eczema as he has suffered from this in a minor way for a while, so tried the cream we have for it. But just checked now and quite large blotchy bits seem to be getting worse rather than better. Some bits are puffed up/raised. No change to diet/washing liquid/shower gel. Does any one have any other ideas please?

Sounds like an allergy. Have you got any piriton to try?

Yeah, we are thinking allergy but a bit baffled as to what (he had an assortment of "pin prick" tests done last year for dust, pet hair etc as he was very sneezy, but all came back clear...)

Thanks so much for reminding me about piriton - we DO have some, so have given him a dose :) I know I am being terribly pfb about him, but he is very rarely not well.

He doesn't sound 'not well'.

My kids get rashes all the time, GP said not to worry unless other worrying symptoms.

how big is the area? and how a large the hives?
