How long do children/babies have a viral rash for?

I know it sounds like a strange question.

But after a virus adults and kids sometimes get a rash don't they?

My ds1 had tonsillitis two weeks ago and when he was over the worst of it he had a rash on his neck and torso for 24 hours, then completely disappeared.

Now my 6mo ds2 had a fever for 3 days a week ago. Sniffly, irritable off his food since. Came out in a rash everywhere on Saturday, particularly on his cheeks, and he still has it.

Is that normal?

Not chicken pox as they aren't blistered. Raised spots but with no head

DS2 has the same sort of rash, he's been tested for German Measles. The results aren't back yet but Dr was pretty certain that's what it's most to be.

My baby has just been diagnosed with measles. Did you see your gp?

Could it be slapped cheek? The rash for mine was large red circles, slightly raised, no head. It lasted 2 weeks for one of mine.

Ds gets viral rashes regularly and they generally last 2-3 days.
