Ds had sickness last week and cough. Took to gp and said had tonsilitis. Got penicillin. Got gradually better over wkd but woken up again today with temp and sounds very congested and has temp of 37.5. Seems ok but slightly manic. Would you take back to ooh?

If my ds's had ABs got better and then worse again I would definitely go straight back.

AB resistance is v. scary. I'm sure all is fine but just be cautious.

37.5 is a normal temp, I wouldn't panic just because of that.
How old is ds?

mummynumnum · 29/01/2012 06:11

He is 2. Temp has crept to 37.7 and back down again and just tad worried as 37.5 a little high.
Dd had heaps of feb convulsions so always a little paranoid over temps even though ds never has them.

I wouldn't worry with that level of very very low grade temperature. Just keep an eye. Is he still eating / drinking?

McQueasy · 29/01/2012 06:18

I would give some calpol, but not be in a mad rush to go to ooh just because of the number. That is a normal body temp.
If he is unwell, consider taking him back or phone NHS 24, but don't worry too much about a temp less than 38

Sounds like he is better from the tonsillitis but has now caught a wee cold, lots of bugs around at the moment :(
