My DS has been doing this for nearly a week now. She used to have 4-5 dirty nappies a day no problem, then about a week ago suddenly went down to one max each day and none at all on some days. She has gone from being a baby who rarely cries to suddenly screaming frequently throughout the day, seemingly when gas is moving down or she is straining to poo. She rarely poos as a result of these bouts of screaming, even though she has been straining. On the days she does poo now it is usually in the evening and is massive. Yellowy, greeny colour and runny so it can't can constipation can it? She's much calmer when she has finally managed to pass it and then can sleep. On the days when she doesn't poo at all her sleep is very disturbed as she often wakes up screaming I'm guessing because her tummy hurts her. It's horrible seeing her obviously in pain and not being able to do anything. Should I be worried about this and take her to the GP? Any advice on things I can do to help her?

I just reread this and realised I'd posted DS instead of DD! Poor little C! How could I mix up her gender?! Sort of shows that I wasn't really thinking about anything but how to make her feel better though I guess.
