DD2 is 28 months and sick AGAIN. Been given antibiotics for nasty cough and high temp that is straddling 40 degrees unless calpol/ibuprofen given. I work full time and was sooo looking forward to time home with my kids and had been runnin on empty since we have had recurrent coughs and colds since October. We havent been Dr till today because he has eberally handled them quite well. But Now I feel close to tears. what if this escalates and we have to go to A&E.

Meant to be visiting family for Xmas 2 hours away and spending the night. Should info with antibiotics and calpol in tow. Or stay and home. DD1 is six years old and I really feel sorry that we always have to cancel things when
My youngest is sick. Think to send DH alone with DD1 and I stay at home. But DD2 is chirpy when not coughing and temp mainly high when sleeping. Appetite is on low side but still managing a little. It's day 1 of antibiotics. When do you think they may kick in! I can't sleep with worry.

Antibiotics should kick in within 24 hours. Hope you all have a lovely Christmas.
