I checked for rashes - she said her neck was fine, doesn't have a sore throat, just a headache. I have given calpol and snuggled her up on the sofa.....She asked for the TV on but has gone to sleep. Please tell me this isn't the flu or anything........

My money's on viral. A headache is a symptom of a fever so if she's feeling warm, it could be that. Every single living person I know has something atm. 99% viral. Usually starts with a temp, ends up being a cough/cold/sinus/ear/chest type thing.

You could always go to a walk in centre if you have one, just to check throat/ears/chest before the bank holiday and Christmas closures.

Thank you! Well she seems to have perked up - so presumably nothing life threatening....She has NEVER complained of a headache before so I was bit worried. Especiallly as we are due to leave at 7am to drive from Brussels to N. Wales!
