4 year old poopy toilet troubles

Hi All - I really need advice or to see if anyone else has experienced this. My 4 year old DD has been toilet trained for the best part of 2.5 years now with no trouble whatsoever. However, at interim periods over the last few months she doesn't seem to be getting to the toilet on time and is doing it either partly or fully in her pants. The stools are quite loose but it isn't a bug. I've changed her diet, I make sure she knows where the toilet is etc etc. She rarely does it a home, but keeps doing it at school or whilst out with others. I'm at my wits end ! It can happen more than once in a day. She says she gets confused and thinks the rumble in her tummy is a hungry rumble. What on earth can I do???

You are not the only one x
I am having the same problem on and off with my 3.5 year old girl.....she is virtually toilet trained and goes perfectly for wees, but she is having problems judging when she needs poops. I am sick of cleaning dirty pants and my husband is really annoying me as he puts nappies on her after she does it, which I think is giving her the wrong signals......we are going to start trying no nappies at night but I'm afraid that she will soil herself as she hasn't got the knack of toileting yet...
Any ideas anyone
