In 2009 my lovely daughter was born with hip dysplasia (dislocated hip) and underwent treatment wearing a harness for 6 weeks. At 1 yr she had major surgery to correct the hip and wore a hip spica cast for three months. During this time i designed and made clothes to fit over the treatment aids as 'normal' clothes wouldn't fit. I have now set up Hip-Pose Ltd to retail my clothes for DDH kids, which can be checked out on www.hip-pose.co.uk all clothes are made in the UK and conform to safety standards.
The clothes have been developed with advice from other parents of DDH kids plus NHS staff who treated my daughter, and my aim is to help other parents be able to dress their little ones during a difficult time so they can 'fit in' an go about everyday life as much as possible.
Please visit the website and tick facebook 'like' link to spread the word! We are also supporting the Steps charity for children with lower limb conditions with a percentage of profits being donated to their cause.
Many thanks for reading this!
