3 year old's hair not growing

Firstly, i realise this is a very minor complaint, but.....

My 3 year old daughters hair isn't growing. At the top/front of her head it's about 1 cm long, max. At the back/sides it varies, up to about 2 inches max.

It grew in very very slowly and has always been like this. In other words, it's not been falling out, no odd bald patches, just very very short.

She is beginning to be upset by it, and is desperate for a pony tail.

Any suggestions as to how I can make it grow? Any reason to be worried? She is otherwise perfectly healthy, good eater, balanced diet etc

Thanks

I am not sure about advice for making it grow. However it sounds normal to me. DS2 is now just over 4 and has extremely fine White blonde hair. He has never had a haircut and it is about 2.5 inches ling all over. It grew more this year than ever before. I can see it would be harder for a girl though. Could you get her some clips so she feels girly?

Dd2 is five and a half, and has only just got the back of her hair at a length, that when wet, reaches her shoulders.

I used to do a tiny pony tail on the top of her head with her fringe so she felt like she had more hair.

her hair was like you describe your dd's, and it has really grown in the last two years.
