she has been feeling unwell since tuesday, nothing major in general but feeling normal in the day and then sick and or with tummy ache. she has been properly sick once and a couple of instances of the clear stuff that comes usually before. i kept her off school again yesterday as like the day before she felt fine but was seriously tired as had been up alot the night before crying with either a tummy ache or feelign sick but even though fine in the day then same or similar the next night. i am not the type of mum who rushes to the dr unless i think really necessary as i get paranoid about them having me in their pc as some neurotic mum. if she is still feeling like this on monday i will take her to dr but am wondering, is there anyone else reading this who has similar? possibly a bug is going round. i thought she would have been back to normal today and yesterday we thought she would be back at school today but she was up last night 1am - 3:30am, eventually went to sleep even though feeling sick. my imagination starts to panic as you read things in the paper. right now she has just got out of bed and says she still has a tummy ache and feels a bit sick although both must be quite mild as she seems ok and is trying some weetabix

Sounds like a mild tummy bug. I would wait til Monday. I don't think doctor will do anything at this stage, tbh.

Alternatively, could it be food allergy/intolerance? They can come suddenly, I think. DD seems to have become intolerant of satsumas and raspberries last week Hmm, with diarrhoea and vomiting.

hi winny - she is an allergy child!! we have epipens, etc - she has always been allergic to nuts etc so we are experts in that department. it's not allergy related, hopefully a bug which will clear up. re your dd, you could get her skin prick tested to see if/how allergic she is to things. when dd eats (which is never really as we stop her eating things she shouldn't) things she is allergic to she swells up, body becomes covered in erticaria (hives) and usually an hour later projectile vomits....the swelling and listening to her breathing is the worse, not knowing when the reaction has peaked, you sit there longing for it to peak and then start to fade off, can take hours sometimes. i hate it when her eyes can't open, bloody freaky stuff.

How scary. Poor girl.

Oh, yes, I forgot to mention that DD's legs were covered in hives as well after eating some raspberry smoothie. Few days later, after eating few teaspoons of raspberry coulis she vomited-no hives that time, though. Will take her to the doctor soon.
