Weird puking - not ill in any other way. Food to blame?

DD2, 2yo, has had two mild bouts of vomiting in the last fortnight. Both lasted less than 15hrs, both times she lost neither energy nor her apetite (which is small generally) both times she slept through the night without puking, though did Bf a couple of times, both times she looked entirely well apart from the 5 minutes before she threw up. On the two previous occasions she's had a vomiting bout she's been completely washed out, slept more, only breastfed and was very very clingy.

This just didn't look like a bug to me. The rest of us didn't get it. I'm starting to wonder if it was food, as in a sensitivity to something rather than food poisoning as she ate nothing different to the rest of us.

Any ideas or similar experiences? Just coincidence?

DD (3yo) had something similar. Was sick in the night Sat/Sun but appeared fine. Sick 3 more times during the morning and once late Sun but still saying she was hungry and happily drinking water/milk.

Fine Monday and Tuesday, Sick once Wednesday evening and fine since.

Has been bouncing about and not apparently ill other than the vomiting. Couldn't pin it down to anything she'd eaten, although she doesn't usually eat the same things as us because she's allergic to dairy.

Think it was a bug because I felt ill on Friday and nursery said they'd had some people off with bugs.

Oh, and should add the vomiting bouts were a fortnight apart so one lot not a left-over from the other like it looks lik CokeFan's DD might have been.

If it were food related she probably would have had some stomach cramps and the runs. Sounds like she caught a bug but her body managed to fight it off for the most part.

Rikalaily you're probably right. It just seemed odd so close together. Both girls are very robust and do tend to shrug off illness or avoid it completely, apart from the regulation quota of mild colds.
