DS 2.5 strange bruise with a lump on arm

I noticed DS1 has a really nasty bruise on his arm just below his elbow, he hasn't had any bumps or falls but the bruise is getting bigger and there is a lump that feels like the end of a teaspoon sticking out. DS says it only hurts if we touch the bruise.

There's no other swelling apart from the lump, Dr's tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone has seen something like this before and what it was?

DS had a scan for a lump at 10 months, got diagnosed with a haemaegenioa which is a harmless collection of blood cells that he will grow out of. Gp should be able to get you a scan. Probably nothing but best to get it checked

Thanks for replying smearedinfood, gp said it was an insect bite?! I'm not sure on that one, glad your DS is ok, a lump of any sort should be checked out IMO. GP didn't seem to be concerned. think I will take my DS back to the GP if it hasn't gone/improved by Monday.
