Is it ok to send DD to play with a boy with shingles?

She's had chickenpox (twice!) but can she catch anything from a boy with shingles? His parents say not, but I just wanted to check.

Fine, it's the same virus as CP so she'd be in no more danger than with a child who has CP. Less if his spots are covered.

chicken pox can be passed on through direct contact with the fluid from the shingles blisters. If they are covered then she should be fine.
