Should I be worried about my 3 year old and this bleed?

She fell from a roundabout on Thursday, she has a small bruise next to her eye and the bridge of her nose is scratched and bruised (blueish colour).

Yesterday I noticed she had a little bit of dried dark brown blood coming out of her nose, I cleaned her up and it happened 3 times in total yesterday and now it has happened for a second time today.

It's old blood, dark brown in colour and apart from this happening she is fine, eating & drinking and we have been out and about all day and she has been a happy little thing.

There is something in the back of my mind just wondering if I should get her checked out, if it wasn't the weekened I would book in to see the practice nurse.

So, I was wondering WWYD?

Hi - I'm a Dad, and in no way 'medical' but you could phone NHS Direct and ask their advice, or you can probably get them on-line.

Even though it's the weekend there may be a Casualty or Minor Injuries unit near you that could advise.

As you say, if she seems OK, not feeling sick or dizzy or anything then she is probably all right.

Cheers

Thanks Furguson, she is perfectly fine but just occassionaly has these little nose bleeds.

I don't like ringing NHSD because they send us to A&E every bloody time we ring about one of the children!!
