every few weeks/months, for the past few years DS2 has woken at night crying. he says his ankles hurt. we give him a cuddle and rub his ankles then he goes back to sleep.

by the morning he's fine again.

My eldest woke a lot when she was growing (now 17) with terrible pain in her knees. It was always gone in the morning and we put it down to growing pains. We bought a pillow you put in the microwave to warm up, and put that on it, it helped. She eventually grew out of it. Hope that helps Smile

my ds has pains in his legs or feet when growing a lot.
he has a cuddly toy with a wheat pillow inside that we heat up for him. if that does not work he gets placebo medicine (strawberry syrup in a syringe) and the real stuff if it still doesn't work.
most of the times the heat is enough, though.

that's reassuring, thanks.
i've got heatpacks but they're never handy in the middle of the night. maybe i'll start keeping one under his bed for that.

benign nocturnal leg pains. Nothing to worry about. So long as he is fine during the day
