Hi,

I am looking for a good pediatrician in London. My son (3yo) keeps getting very painful mouth ulcers (third time in 6 months now). I brought him to the GP twice and she never gave me a clear diagnosis. In addition, his tummy is very bloated and hard (no constipation problems), and he often complains of tummy ache.

I have tried a few doctors in the past for unrelated issues (one at the Cromwell Hospital, one at the Portland and one at the Royal Free) but none of them really made me too happy.

I am talking about private doctors.

Many thanks for all your help.

Dr Anthony Cohn is very good

Thanks a lot, I will have a look. I need somebody who wants to do some "lateral thinking" in the sense that I want to know the cause of the problem, rather than just having antibiotics/antivirals...

Thanks again.

We have been using Dr HAY for five years now and are very happy with him. He works in the Portland Consulting suites. When he is not available and we didn't want to wait we have seen Professor Weinberg, although it states that his specialism is allergies we have seen him about totally different things and where very happy with him. Both are not cheap but they have always solved the issues for which we saw them, whereas GPs and various NHS consultants did not.

I'd ask for him to be tested for coeliac disease first - mouth ulcers are a very common symptom as is a distended tummy

I'd recommend dr Ahmed massoud at the Portland/clementine/northwick park. Caroline Oren is also good but she might just be a paed rheumatologist.

Thanks a lot. We ended up seeing somebody at the royal free. He gave us a course of antiviral drugs. If that doesn't stop the ulcers coming back, he will do all the tests to see if his autoimmune system is compromised. Fingers crossed.

Thanks again got all your help

Hi I am looking for good paediatrician for my 4 years old son who ever so often gets ear infection or tonsillitis. After reading some info I was thinking of Andrew Sawczenko in Cromwell any comments would be highly appreciated.

Hello Everyone

I was wondering if any of you can recommend a good Developmental Pedeatrician in London central area ? I need to check the development of my premature 2.5 years child. NHS procedures are quite lengthy and I want to go private so please let me know if you reommend anyone.
