Tips for 11 month old having an ultrasound

Has anyone been in the situation before?

Found lump on his side and gp couldn't figure it out so we have an ultra sound tomorrow morning. I'm not stressed because he's a fairly contented little guy ... But...He doesn't do still. Am thinking I may have to bf him while it happens or look like an absolute nutter while singing 'wind the bobbin up'. I would be very grateful for any tips.

Hi there. I think he'll be so interested in all the technology and nurses and they're really good at talking to children, that he'll be still and in awe. I really hope so anyway. Much luck.

Thank Aston. You were right he was in awe and managed to stay still. Turned out to be a collection of blood cells. I walked out so relieved, at the back of mind I work in an environment where I read about medical practitioners making misdiagnosis's on cancer patients so kinda of knew that 99 per cent of the time it's nothing but better safe than sorry.Grin

Oh good, so glad he's okay. Can I ask what you do? I've been on the wrong end of one of those misdiagnosises unfortunately so am interested.

I'll pm you
