Toddler has hair loss on left side of head

Hi

I've been finding lump of my DS hair in his cot and on the floor nearby. I didn't think much of it, as DD (5 years old) had similar thing at that age, but her loss was patchy and minimal compared to DS's.

It is very noticable from behind and people have started commenting about now. The left side is almost bare compared to ther right side of his head. He has a large head, and it took him until he was well over 6 weeks until he could lift his head. He is fine physicallly and is running around like crazy and doing what toddlers do.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing.

How's his diet? I'd get him checked out TBH just in case. DS started losing hair when he was about 9 months - turns out the reflux meds he was in were inhibiting the absorption of minerals (zinc being the main one) causing hair loss. I stopped them and made sure his diet was ok and now it's all fine again.
