Foot turning OUTwards in late(ish) walking toddler

My DS 16 mths is a late walker as was my daughter who finally walked at 17mts. In both cases they sat up from 6 mths and then were content to just sit happily until 13 mths then crawled. At 15ish months my DS started the typical pulling up on furniture and now walks holding one hand or with the toddle truck for short distances and then looses interest. There is no sign of pain or discomfort at all. I have only noticed the foot thing since he has been 'walking'. He turns his left foot outwards to (approx 45 degrees) and the inner part of his foot appears very flat and with no arch at all (which i believe is not uncommon). Am planning to discuss with HV but I'm expecting the usual 'wait and see' advice which I guess may be reasonable in this case. Has anyone else come accross this type of thing and what was the outcome?
