How do I help?

He's having the full dose of gripe water but wakes every 2-3 hours wriggling and arching his back and only goes back to sleep once he has managed enormous, explosive farts. Poor thing.

And no, he hasn't had beans!

Have you tried baby massage-just a warm hand or almond oil rub in clockwise circles round the tummy.I used to stretch DS out on my body when I was lying down and this seemed to help.Obviously won't work for every baby.

Massage as above and bicycling his legs might help.

upright tummy to tummy in sling then a walk is good.

there is also the I love you baby massage. should be online somewhere.

tiger in tree hold also good, but depends how large 11mo is as it can get heavy!

I've tried the I love you baby massage. This seemed to be beyond that though.

Thank you for the suggestions. I will use them next time as he was obviously in pain until he, erm, released wind! It seems to have been a bug which has passed through, and is continuing to pass through the rest of the household unfortunately. And I'm not putting my husband in the tiger on the tree hold!
