Hi I am looking for recommendations for my LO, he is 3 months old and now on his 2nd ear infection. As well as seeing the GP I would like to see an osteopath, does anyone have any experience of osteopathy for ear infections?
Any experiences or tips welcome thanks.

I'm afraid there's no reason to think that cranial manipulation might help your baby and quite a lot of evidence indicating that it doesn't.

A lot of people look outside of conventional options for ear ache but none of the alternatives have demonstrated effectiveness.

I'd stick to ibuprofen for the moment if I were you.
I'm sure your G.P. will talk to you about antibiotics if they become appropriate.

The NHS website also gives some advice on treatment and prevention options.

Ds started ear infections at about 3 months and had them continuously (Day 1-5 on antibiotics, day 6-7 ok, day 8 becoming cranky again, day 9-10 temperature and ear infection again... back to day 1)until his first set of grommets in at 20 months. Then they cleared up... until they'd fallen out and he's now on his 2nd set.
