Maybe i'm over thinking this a bit but my girl over the last 5 days has pretty much slept constantly day and night, which is'nt like her and when she has been awake she's been extremely grumpy, she has puffy red eyes and her nose won't stop running, she's rubbing her eyes alot and every now and then is screeching like she has a pain? She's being really clingy and won't let me leave the room. She is crying at meal times but won't eat baby food, she just wants milk, normally she loves her baby food and can't wait for each mouthful. Nothing I do seems to comfort her? I'm really fretting about this, can anyone give advice?

Entirely possible to have hayfever at that age. I was born in April and my mum tells me I had what she thought was a summer cold from 3 weeks old to end of August.

HTH... lifelong hayfever suffer

My DD had a similar thing when she was around 4 months aswell as a rash on her torso and the dr said hayfever!!

I'd pop her to the GP just to be on the safe side but it could be hayfever.

Maybe give some calpol to ease any discomfort but i don't think there is anything else at 6 months.

Hope she is feeling a bit happier soon.

Thank you for this. Now you've mentioned she does have a rash on her torso and head, worst behind her ears?, this only sprouted out this morning though. I will take her to doc but I'll bet he says its yet another viral infection!

DD was diagnosed with hayfever at 6 months by an ENT consultant. You can have both piriton and benadryl on prescritption at this age.
