With a tiny, if they have cd, then it needs to be formally diagnosed and quickly - don't change their diet at all, go to the gp, and ask for testing.

What are you concerned about ?

Agree you mustn't change the diet at all, go the GP and demand a blood test (they may try to fob you off because dc is so young)

The blood test will not work unless they have been eating gluten because it is the antibodies that cause the symptoms. It may not actually work anyway because presumably your dc has only been eating gluten for 7 months at the most? It takes time for the antibodies to build up and take an effect on the gut lining.

I had DD tested just before turning 2 and the GP (the second one - the first was very dismissive and only allowed a test because my DH is coeliac) did say that although it was negative, it was worth bearing it in mind for the future because she was so young.

DH was diagnosed in mid 30s and his older DD was diagnosed in the same year, age 8.

pop over to this forum, there is a section there for parents of babies & young children (the forum is a part of celiac.com, in itself a mine of very useful info and research.
