How long is hand, foot and mouth disease contaigous for?

Ds2 2.5 has it at the moment, along with teh childminders daughter. Symptoms started on Tuesday. He's got lots of spots on his hands, 2 tiny spots on his tongue nad nothing to see on his feet, though he did complain that they hurt yesterday.

He's very well in himself, no temp or anything.

We have a wedding on Saturday. DH is best man. There will be other kids there, including the bride and groom's daughter of the same age. The last thing I want to do is pass it on to her, esp as they are all off on honeymoon a day or so after.

So if it started on Tuesday, will he still be contaigous on Saturday? There's also the added complication of DS1 4.4, who hasn't shown any symptoms yet but may be carrying it.

WWYD?

Oh dear - a couple of websites say it's until all the spots have gone. I've got a feeling that DH may be going on his own to the wedding Sad
