Confused by ds blood test results. What might low immunoglobulins indicate?

Ds is 5. He has asd and his community paed recently sent him for blood tests due to his on going stomach aches, low appetite and tiredness.
Blood results for coeliac screen, ferritin, liver function and renal function all show as normal but letter says 'bloods taken for immunoglobulins showed a low igm although I am unsure of what significance this is'

I'm confused as no follow up or further comments are given. Shouldn't they look into whether the low igm might be significant if they don't know?

I would ask the gp or community paed about it. Don't google.
