Vomiting 30-40 minutes after taking antibiotics, could it be absorbed by then or not?

Hi,
DD (5.5 yrs old) was prescribed antibiotics Erythromycin 125mg/5ml suspension by gp yesterday.
Background info: she was feverish on Saturday and Sunday and vomited few times & gone off food etc and usual childrens paracetamol / ibupurofen didnt do much to reduce the temperature. Then she has developed a pea sized lump on her neck. Gp diagnosed throat infection and prescribed the medicine. Now, she hated this medicine and wants to throw up immediately after taking it. So far I managed it without throwing it up but this morning after I left for work, his dad gave it to her and 40 minutes after taking it, she threw up.
Does she need to take another dose now? Is 40 minutes a reasonable time limit for the medicine to be absorbed?
If anyone know, pls reply...

Many thanks.

I'd guess that some would have been absorbed, but not all, so she won't be getting a full dose. Really I think you need to go back to the GP and get some different antibiotics as it sounds like she has an intolerance to this sort. Can you phone the surgery and ask for the GP or nurse to phone back?

I will. Good idea. Thank you bumpybeck.
