Over the last week dd has had 5 accidental poos. She doesn't seem aware of when she's doing it! They are hard so she must feel it.

She even did one in her bed while she was asleep (but woke up to tell me) and I've had to send her to the toilet when she's been watching tv as she was obviously straining but she had no idea she was doing it!!

I have no idea if it is behavioural or medical. She's on Movicol for chronic constipation and we've upped the dose to see if it helps. But so far all that seems to be happening is that the accidents are getting messier.

Any ideas anyone?

Does this ring any bells?

There are quite a few threads on this if so - don't have direct experience of it here, but have read a lot about it on here.
