Has dd just found her ear or could she have an infection?

Today we noticed that dd (19 wks) kept rubbing her left ear.

She doesn't seem to be uncomfortable in any way, a little bit grumbly but no more than usual tbh.

Could it be an ear infection? Could it be that she has just found her ear and is fascinated by it? Coud this be to do with teething?

DH is taking her to Drs. tomorrow but I wanted to ask on here if anyone had any experience with the same kind of thing.

If she has an ear infection she would be screaming the place down in pain, especially when she is lying down. Ear infections are very, very painful so ime, it's unlikely to be an infection.

Ds used to rub his ears all the time, sometimes it was just due to him being tired.

She would have a high temp and be upset if it was a ear infection. Could be teething but don't worry about it unless she gets irritable or cries.
