DD (2.10) puts EVERYTHING in her mouth

Is there any way I can stop her? She is starting to drive us a bit bonkers and I'm getting a bit worried that she will swallow/inhale something that can do her damage. Earlier today I found her with the sticky tab from a loaf of bread in her mouth, that was after digging out soggy paper that she'd been sucking on and it had stuck to the roof of her mouth. Its everything she comes across though, bottle tops, toys, plastic wraping, anything and everything!

Her coats and tops all have bobbly or bare bits on the collars where she has chewed through them :( I really thought she would have outgrown this sort of behaviour by now, is it normal to still be doing this at nearly 3?

DGS does this too! He is 2.5 months and constantly tasting things. Did this at a singing session and came back with a streaming cold virus which DD and I both caught off him. It is not healthy methinks!!! He is growing back teeth though but glad he is not the only toddler to do this.

Maybe your DD has sensory issues? Perhaps its not as unusual as we thought?

How nice of him to share, sneezecakes! My DD has a permanent runny nose, maybe this is part of the problem? I don't know. Just wish I could stop her, at the moment I daren't leave her on her own in case she chokes
