thats it really! she has been off school with all this for 3 weeks now. She is on her 3rd lot of antibiotics, and it's been really worrying, that it has all taken so long to come and go. Well the flu went, but the tonsillitis came.
I went back to gp yesterday and said her throat is much better but the one thing keeping her off now is these terrible headaches. Gp said her gland are up so she is still fighting something.

I know there is viral and bacterial tonsillitis so i said, how do we know if the antibiotics are working. I am concerned as she is now on her third lot. So she took a swab off dd's throat. Annoying though as dd has crap immunity anyway and the antibiotics could have wiped her out.

why don't they swab in the fecking first place.

I had the swine flu too and am only feeling better 3-4 weeks later.

so, anyway, fed up here of lurgy. have booked her in for an eye test tomorrow too, just in case.

Hi Piratecat, sorry to hear your still both feeling poorly. I suppose the reason they dont routinely swab is because many cases are viral, and basically its a cost thing, but I may be wrong!
