1 - :( He was very poorly that day.

winnybella · 26/01/2011 22:10

None. Oh, wait, one morning off, as he was pretending complaining that he had stomach ache and gullible ex took him to A&E Hmm

He doesn't get ill, it's almost freaky. Not one sniffle in last 5 years

Feenie · 26/01/2011 22:10

Ds had only had 2 (Reception) but he will have had another 4 off by tomorrow - nasty virus.

Am half-expecting another thread somewhere with a parent cross that their dc's teacher has now had 5 off to look after him (dh staying tomorrow). Blush

HattiFattner · 26/01/2011 22:11

about 5.5. Five of those last week due to hospitalisation for asthma. generally about 5 days a year.

DD1 14 - none. don't think she's had any off for years.

DD2 12 - none sick but has refused to go alot.

BecauseImWorthIt · 26/01/2011 22:13

None

Hulababy · 26/01/2011 22:14

This academic year - none.

Last year - think she had a day of sick and one day off with jet lag. She also had half a day off when I came out of hospital (been in for the weekend ill) early and we collected her enroute home as she;d been so upset with me being in.

Marne · 26/01/2011 22:15

Dd2 has had 7 days off and will now be off tomorrow, she had the flue and now has a UTI. Before x-mas she had a week of with chicken pox and a week of with d&v.

dd1 had last week off with flu.

Both dd's only seem to get ill in dec-feb, the rest of the year they seem healthy.

pointydug · 26/01/2011 22:17

None so far this year, I don't think.

Blacksand · 26/01/2011 22:17

None off sick but they both had the day off for their GreatGrandad'sFuneral - who they both knew very well and had visit in the hospice two days before he died Sad

Bit pissed off to find out later that they had put it down as a 'holiday day off' for them both at the school Hmm - made sure i got it changed to 'day off for family reasons'.

MoldyWarp · 26/01/2011 22:20

none

februarys normally where the duck is broken!

SoMuchToBits · 26/01/2011 22:20

Ds aged 10 - none. He was unwell for a couple of days in the Christmas holidays - if that had happened during term time he would have been off sick, as he had a temperature.

Tortoise · 26/01/2011 22:22

DS1 None
DS2 2
DD1 None
DD2 About 4 i think.

MollieO · 26/01/2011 22:23

Ds yr 2 none. One for yr 1 but that was only because he ate a load of blueberries and threw up at school so the 24 hr rule meant he had to stay home a day.

KangarooCaught · 26/01/2011 22:26

0 so far for the dcs.

1st year DS got 100% attendance and got a certificate much to his bewilderment. A mixture of 'you'll be alright/dose of calpol' sniffles and total luck of the draw re illnesses. 2nd year had about 10-12 days off, including swine flu and winter vomiting.

posey · 26/01/2011 22:26

Dd (13) none
Ds (8) half - he got sent home sick one lunchtime.

dd at college but she's at 75% at the moment. No idea how mant days it is.

My boys generally had 2 or 3 days off a year probably (once they'd had their tonsils sorted)

mercibucket · 27/01/2011 20:56

ds1 at least 10 days - will be expecting the letter from head soon . . .
ds2 - none - freaky healthy boy is never ill, or if he is, he goes to bed and wakes up fine
dd - can't be sure but I think none

makes me feel a bit better about ds1's record

ilovesprouts · 27/01/2011 21:33

ds2 5days due to croup/chest infection ,going monday tho

cory · 28/01/2011 08:31

My dcs would muck up any average, having a chronic joint condition that makes them unable to attend school at times and that has also messed up dd's immune system. Dd has probably had an attendance of about 50% this semester. But is still doing well at school.

Ds does slightly better: probably had about 3 weeks off last term, and 4 days this month.

Nippolopolis · 28/01/2011 10:36

DS reception - 7 days. 1 week long stomach bug that knocked half the class out.
