GOSH - saved my son's life last week, what a place.

DS1, age 9, has been ill with excruciating headaches and other symptoms for 4 weeks - GP, our hospital did every scan, MRI, CT, lumber puncture under the sun, but could not find what was causing his brain to swell. He screamed like a wild animal the whole of one night, at which point they got us into Gt Ormond St. within 24 hours a wonderful neurosurgeon had found and sealed an aneurism that was leaking into his brain. We had the hell of 48 hours on the critical list in Intensive care - a week later we came home from GOSH and he is eating caked like there's no tomorrow.

We were very, very close to losing him.

Just wanted to say what a wonderful place GOSH is - and next time you see any adverts for them, you can think of our story. Smile

Minx - how scary for you all :( I'm so pleased they have sorted it out! Does he need any further treatment?

Did you that post a little while ago about DS having headaches? Someone did and it sounded horrible - I hope it was you and it's now OK or that the other little boy got seen too.

GOSH already has a place in my heart, but I will also think of you x
