I am using dermal 600 and fucidin for dd eczema which keeps her up at night. She is only 5 months and I don't feel I can keep putting on steriod cream so was wondering in anyone has any better ideas - specifically for the itching. I also do oats in the bath!

unfortunatly, it seems to be trial and error.
DS (2.5) is now using Aveeno cream (also made with oat extract) and emulsiderm in the bath. We have been through several emolients and creams, including steroid creams, since he was about 6 months.

I have found that we need to use each new cream for a week or so to see any result, and then we need to switch creams every so often as his skin seems to get used to each one. Often I find plain old sudocrem to be the best, especially if he's very itchy - I tend to use a thick layer of it.

thank you two- I thought as much. Do you have any thoughts about bathing? I have held off bathing her so much but I don't think it's helped. I have Dermol stuff to use in the bath or oats in a muslin etc. Also I was wondering if the aveeno cream for eczema is a particular one as Superdrug seems to have a few. TIA
