DS(7) has itchy area under his penis and on his scrotum

More or less every night for the past 10 days, just as he's getting changed into his pyjamas he says "Mum, my willy is itchy." I've had a look and he means underneath his willy, where it rests on his scrotum, and also on the scrotum itself there. The area looks SLIGHTLY red but not overly so and there also looks to be tiny little heat lump type spots on the skin of his willy where it itches. But seeing as I'm no expert in the appearance of the skin on junior willies, then for all I know they could be there all the time in all kids!

All I've been doing is giving the area ia quick wipe with cotton wool and water then putting a bit of sudocrem on, which seems to relieve the itching.

Could it be a sweat rash? Or can you get thrush round that area? It doens't seem to be bothering him anywhere else - it's only where his willy skin rests on his scrotal skin if you get what I mean. Suppose it gets quite dank there.....

you can get thrush anywhere that is warm and collects moisture.

sounds v thrush like so maybe pop to chemist tomorrow and see if you can get some cream over the counter... do you have minor ailments scheme so you can get cream for free?

maybe it's just in scotland. you register your child at a chemist and then they get free medication for minor ailments like thrush or eye infections... simple conditions which are easily identifiable by a pharmacist.
