Smoky environments cause congestion in babies?

Ds3 is 1 month old, we don't smoke and he has never been around cigarette smoke before. We took him to my mums house yesterday, she smokes in the house (but didn't while he was there) I could smell it at feel it at the back of my throat when we left after 2 hours. That night DS3 was really snuffly, he's fine now, could it be from the smoke as he isn't used to it?

I would have thought so. If you could feel the effects then he would too.

I get the same after a short time in a smoky environment so sure DS would too.
