extreme tolerance to heat - should I worry?

My DD (6.5) has an extremely high tolerance to heat on her fingers. For example we baked fairy cakes yesterday and used some new silicon cases, I was struggling to pick them out of the cake tin, but she just picked up the hot cases without flinching.

I've been concerned about her for a while - but without any concrete symptons - she sleeps 12 hours a night, but often has dark circles and seems very tired. When she goes to bed she often takes her pyjamas off and sleeps with just a thin sheet over her as any other covers make her feel much too hot - but she doesn't have temperature.

Am I being silly - or should I take her in for a check up?

Thanks Cargirl - me and DH are just talking and he has said that same thing.

I just worry about being dismissed as an over anxious parent, but as I type that I realise how little that actually matters!

Will ring docs in the morning.
