How to get my sick toddler to drink - help!

My little boy has flu for 7 days now and the last drink he had was at 3am this morning. His wee this morning was dark yellow.

I'm waiting a call from the doctor, but wondered whether anyone has any cunning hints to get him to drink something! Have offered all his faves, ice lollies, the lot, but he is very distressed, keeps hitting out, and refuses everything. He also won't eat.

Any handy hints gratefully received while we await the call. The last time he didn't eat or drink he had bronchiolitis and was admitted to hospital. Hubby's away and my 9 month old is also poorly - I can't face it (although know if I have to I'll take him)!

Thanks

I do not have any better advice, just wish he gets better soon.

The rehydrating drinks never worked for us, but if you have some at home, you could try them.

syringe 5 ml into him every 10min or so
